DRDO plans to develope different DEWS for future

The Defense Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) wants to develop directed energy weapons (DEWS) for comparing  with other strong countries. High-energy lasers and high-powered microwaves weapons are presence into this DEWS category. According to the Times of India report , DRDO will develop short, medium and long range weapons. DEWS will be the part of the national programme. For planning to develope these weapons DRDO has collaborated with domestic industry. The power of these weapons will be up-to 100 kilowatt. For soft killing in opposition to incoming missiles and aircraft, chemical oxygen-iodine and high-power fibre lasers will include to the secretive Kali particle-beam . This DEWS project has exhibited infront of the intelligence agencies, armed forces and field forces.
