Landmark Achivement by the DRDO , successful flight test of ' HSTDV '.
7th September,2020 becomes a historical date in India because India has become 4th Country in the world which has successfully test the hypersonic technology vehicle. In the world Russia, US and China which were successfully test this before India.
Today Hypersonic Technology Demonstration Vehicle ( HSTDV ) test by the DRDO from APJ Abdul Kalam Launch Complex at Wheeler Island off the Odisha cost .
Defence minister Rajnath Singh congratulating the DRDO scientists over the successful test . DRDO chief Dr. Satheesh Reddy said , " This testing loves the way for many more critical technologies , materials and hypersonic vehicles. This puts India in a select club of the nations which have demonstrated this technology " .

The parameters of this HSTDV namely Combustion Chember pressure , air intake and controlguidance are also successfully tested . Tow types of engines have used in this HSTDV , 1st - Scramjet engine ( main engine ) and 2nd - Booster engine.
The booster engine can takes it a particular height and then booster engine separates from this vehicle and then Scramjet engine start and take it on it's target.
Speed - DRDO said its speed is six mach , i.e. six times the speed of sound . It can fly 2km per second.
The use of this hypersonic vehicles :-
In future it can uses on
1) Millitary use -
a. To produce hypersonic weapons
i) as a hypersonic Cruise missile .
ii) as a hypersonic Glide missile :- it is the mixture of cruise missile and ballistic missile .
b. In a aircraft
2) Satellite launcher.
